Program Overview
The Green Workforce Pathways program connects job seekers in Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, and Solano counties with entry-level opportunities in the green trades. We partner with local contractors across energy-efficiency sectors—including HVAC/R, plumbing, electrification, and construction to refer qualified candidates directly to open positions and help launch careers in a growing, sustainable workforce.
Program Benefits
Participants receive:
- Career readiness through training and work experience.
- Connections to SEI’s network of contractors.
- $350 in-kind for tools and equipment upon hire.
- A retention bonus of $500 after completing 90 days of employment at a Green Workforce Pathways contractor.
Contractors receive:
- Connections to job seekers, training programs, and community organizations.
- Hiring bonus of $1,000 when you hire a candidate from our referral list.
- Retention bonus of $1,000 after the new hire completes 90 days of employment.
